What Happens When You Wake A Sleeping Bearded Dragon

Waking up a sleeping bearded dragon will startle them. If you suddenly touch them in the middle of their sleep, it’s just like how humans would react to being woken up. You’d be startled and trying to process the situation, and bearded dragons will react in the same way.

It will take them a few moments to adjust to the sudden intrusion. Afterwards, they’ll calm down and go back to their normal behavior. Sudden touch, loud noises, changes in temperature, and sudden light wake up bearded dragons.
